There are many interesting hobbies or jobs throughout the world. You could be one of those people who like to run and explore the land, swim and dive to explore the ocean, or fly high to explore the sky and all creatures that are beneath the sky. Among all of those things, flying is the one that requires the most intensive training.

In flying, such as using helicopters as one of the common means of flying, you must be well trained or someone considered as a pilot before you could drive them. This is why it is important to engage yourself in an advanced helicopter training before driving. It is the final phase of aviation school for those Navy and Marine Corps helicopter pilots.

This training generally takes about six months and is divided into ten phases. In these phases, pilots will be taught about the ground school, tactics, familiarization, radio instruments, formation, visual or instrument navigation, basic instruments, low level navigation, night familiarization and trans fams. Local course rules, common instrument scans, emergency procedures, section formation maneuvers and etc. Are learned in these phases.

In practice, students will take at about sixty hours. New Pilots should understand all the regulations and rules, the airspace, how to talk on radio, read and read chars. They must pick up how to navigate and fly a helicopter as well.

In choosing a flight institute and instructor, there are certain factors to remember. Find an institute with at least two helicopters and two instructors. By this, the risk on not being able to fly whenever circumstances occur like the helicopter is being scheduled to another student, or the instructor is not available would not be high since you have some back ups.

The location must also taken into consideration in the decision making which school you would like to enroll. Know the standing of the school in terms of its reputation by a thorough research on the internet or in personal. Evaluate the facilities that they offer as well.

Getting a license does not need getting a license from any previous aviation experience. There are no prerequisites required for it. You need to be at least fourteen years old to start training and eighteen years old before getting a commercial license.

In full time, you could get your license technically in just four months. Nevertheless, commercial students usually complete the training in six months. For people who applied on part time, it will basically take depending on the days that they go to school.

Helicopters are slow, expensive and cannot even carry that much unlike airplane, but there are a lot of perks in it such as, the ability to land anywhere, to fly very slow or low, and the chance of enjoying the scenery of a place or area in nice days. They are undeniably challenging and fun, all you have to do is to learn, and find the best location, school, instructors, and facilities that could provide you with the best practice experience.
