Varieties Of Pre-University Programs In Malaysia Supplied To College Students

Malaysian Education System offers quite a lot of pre-university programs in Malaysia for students to choose from. Firstly, one will be able to find GCE 'A' Level by the London Examinations Board that is likely one of the most popular pre-university programs in Malaysia as it supplies a unique opportunity to obtain same certification offered to UK students being in Malaysia.

These pre-u courses in Malaysia remain open for Science and Arts students and time of this course is one and a half year. Minimum qualification is SPM or equivalent degrees with a minimum combination of three subjects. It is internationally accepted and offered by many institutions everywhere in the world.

Secondly, South Australian Matriculation is more commonly often known as as SAM which is also an excellent option for pre-university courses in Malaysia as it is acknowledged globally. As the name suggest, the Senior Secondary Assessment Board of South Australia offers this course. These pre-university programs in Malaysia specifically designed for the non-Australian student who wishes to go for higher studies in locations like US, UK and Australia itself.

SAM is structured into two phases having equal importance in terms of marks. In the first phase of these pre-u courses in Malaysia, one will find tests and assignments contributing to 50% and the second and the finals phase consisting of final examination contributing to rest of 50 %.

The curriculum is focused to both humanities and science subjects with a total of six namely science, one social science subject, one foreign language, mathematics, English and one creative subject like arts. Pre-university programs in Malaysia serve as basis for qualification.

Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia (STPM) is a well-preferred option as pre university course in Malaysia as it's equally recognized by universities in Malaysia and over the world. One successful completion of course, the student is offered a high school certificate, which is as good as General Certificate of Education (GCE) 'A', levels certificate. These are pre-university programs in Malaysia containing two phases named as lower six and upper six.

Canadian International Matriculation Programme (CIMP) is also a pre-university programs in Malaysia. The curriculum consists of total six subjects and the period of this course is of 1 year. Assignments and tasks carry higher percentage of marks i.e. 70% while the remaining 30% are awarded primarily based on the end examination related to pre-university courses in Malaysia.

These programs train the students in particular segments like engineering, computer and IT, business etc. The students who which to take up these one year programs should secure 5 or more credits in SPM.
