It was gone. All of it was gone.We need to go. Move it, Tsuna. Raki yelled in the midst of the chaos, face dirty with dirt and blood as her expression reflected what he felt.Despair and horror. Probably pain and grief too, since most of their family members were now nowhere to be seen. His throat clogged up in panic.
Half way through the second month, he stopped pushing her away from him and just gets up casually and disregards her again. She still smiles in relief and sometimes voices it. He cannot help but feel unpleasant whenever he sees the tears in her eyes. All of her suffering was because of HIM, after all.

He had come to realize after all these years of living in this new yet weaker world that nothing else matters.
The one pulling his arm was Takeshi, uncharacteristically silent and grim faced. His sword had stopped glowing Rain Flames hours ago but he still held it at his side. His grip, he noticed, was tight and stiff like he was doing his best to keep it in his hand.
Her smile brightens some more whenever he says that. And it is a smile he would break bones for. He would kill for that smile to stay in place. He gladly would kill for her because she did so much for him.
His hand reaches out to her face and gently wipes her tears away without even opening his eyes. She was always the same place when he sleeps so he knows exactly where she is. He stopped expecting her to be somewhere else but next to him whenever he gotcomatose.
