However, those that are caused by poor hygiene and weather conditions are easy to treat. Other causes of dry feet are prolonged wearing of tight or dirty shoes, low temperatures, and exposure to water. The complication is rampant in all ages. It affects women, men, and children. There are variety of simple techniques and procedures that are used to remove dead skin from feet.

The first method of achieving significant results is soaking the feet in water for a period of fifteen minutes. Scrubbing using marble or fine sandpaper in hot water bath is the next step. Eventually, drying it by use of a towel, and applying a moisturizer. The cleanliness standards of shoes must be maintained at a top-notch level. When the inner souls are left dirty, they accumulate dusts, absorb moisture from the foot, and dehydrate it. Therefore, washing the shoes and inner soles is important.

Careful use of sharp knife and tweezers to remove the dead skin is recommendable. However, this method is ineffective since openings can be created, and bacteria and fungus attack them. Cutting around the heel can be achieved by use of a sharp knife. Scrubbers and pedicure stones are also important items that should be present in a modernized bathroom. There is need to avoid putting baking powder in the shoes to avoid instances of foot swelling, and skin peeling off.

Drinking eight glasses of water on daily basis is important. Since some of complications that causes cracking are due to dehydration. Enough water makes the dermis supple and soft. Consumption of a balanced diet that contains natural sources of water such as vegetables and fruits is recommendable. Consumption of drinks that are likely to cause dehydration such as coffee, tea, and alcohol should be avoided. A regular workout to ensure impurities are excreted from the body is important. It also increases both respiratory and circulatory system functioning.

It is possible to design a homemade treatment product. Avocado and banana are suitable products in the manufacture of foot mask. They are blended into a paste, which is then used for the masking procedure. The period of masking should be 15 minutes, followed by warm water rinsing. Unlike body skins, the feet lack oil glands, and rely on artificial sources.

Nightly treatments are very important since the time for resting is available. Petroleum jelly is a genius product that functions independently. The feet are supposed to be washed with warm water, dried by a towel, and a significant amount of jelly used to massage it.

Sugar alcohols such as glycerin have numerous pharmaceutical properties. Correct usage heals the dryness within a few days. The trick is to mix it with rosewater and apply for two weeks. Other products that can be used for mixing include lemon juice and salt.

The methods discussed above may sometimes fail to work. Symptoms such as intense itching, discomforts, fever, and pain require the attention of a doctor. This will provide an opportunity of treating a disease at an early stage.
